The vineyards managed by the De Quarto family are located in Lizzano, between Taranto and Manduria, where for five generations, the De Quarto family have handed down the art of winemaking and knowledge of the land.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"\u003eDe Quarto Primitivo Passito 'Nobile' is an expression of pure Primitivo bred in the Apulian alberello style, without pesticides and herbicides, on the red soils of Lizzano. Harvesting is carried out by hand in the first ten days of October, when the berries have reached an \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e\u003cspan data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"\u003eadvanced state of over-ripeness\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"\u003e, and the grapes are then mashed in stainless steel tanks for spontaneous alcoholic fermentation at a controlled temperature in contact with the skins.
