The Barbaresco “Currà” by Bruno Rocca is one of the most well-known and appreciated labels from this historic estate in the Langhe, which has a vineyard park of the highest level, with plots located in the prestigious crus of: Rabajà, Currà, Fausoni, Marcoino, and San Cristoforo. The deep and accurate knowledge of the Barbaresco territory and an experience refined over the years in the cultivation and vinification of Nebbiolo allow the winery to offer a range of wines of excellent qualitative level, capable of giving voice to the thousand facets of an absolutely extraordinary terroir.

The “Currà” Barbaresco by Bruno Rocca comes from a vineyard located in the homonymous cru, which became part of the property in 2001. It is a vast plot covering 4 hectares, located in the municipality of Neive. The area takes its name from the parish priest of Neive, who in Piedmontese dialect was simply called Curà, perhaps because in the past these lands were part of ecclesiastical properties. The soils are particularly prized for the presence of the famous Sant’Agata marls, which gives Nebbiolo a particular finesse and elegance. The best bunches selected during the harvest are sent for fermentation in temperature-controlled steel tanks and undergo long maceration on the skins. Before being bottled, the wine rests for 12 months in French oak barriques and for 12 months in large casks.

The Barbaresco “Currà” is a bottle that perfectly expresses the most classic face of this extraordinary red from the Langhe, appreciated worldwide for its delicate and discreet charm, never over the top. In the glass, it presents a bright ruby red color with subtle garnet reflections. The bouquet is elegant and refined, with aromas of marasca, red currant, raspberry, hints of licorice root, balsamic herbs, and soft spices. The taste is harmonious, with a fine aromatic chiseling and a subtle tannic texture, which anticipates a fresh, savory, and very persistent finish.
