The Salina Rosso by Hauner is a wine with absolutely Mediterranean scents, which is obtained by mixing in equal parts Nero d'Avola and Nerello Mascalese grapes. The cherry and plum are a perfect match to the aftertaste of maditerranean stain, which gives to the body a very intriguing fruity aroma. The merit of this wine should certainly be recognized Carlo Hauner, Bresciano of origin but transplanted in Eolia Islands since 1963. After his untimely death, however, today the company is led with the same passion as his son Carlo junior, who cultivated in the best way his vineyards on volcanic and Pomicia terroir, rich in organic matter and mineral elements that contribute to make the wine of Hauner distinguishable thanks to their pleasantly salty aftertaste, typical of this area. The Salina Rosso is another interesting wine produced by Hauner, a winery that has the undoubted merit of having revived the viticulture in Eolia Islands, bringing it back to excellent quality levels.
